A Pierce County teen was hit on his bicycle on Halloween night while trick-or-treating.
The suspected driver took off, hit multiple vehicles, and then drove recklessly into oncoming traffic, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office. The incident took place in Graham near 224th St. East.
The incident left the 15-year-old boy in serious condition. He was treated immediately at a local hospital.
The 36-year-old female driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
The woman is now facing vehicular assault and reckless endangerment charges because she had children in the car and was allegedly involved in multiple hit-and-run collisions during the incident.
