London Mayor Boris Johnson took to a zip line after Great Britain won it’s first gold of the 2012 Olympics on Tuesday, but the ride hit a snag and Johnson ended up getting stuck on the line.

“Can you get me a rope? Get me a rope, okay?” he was heard saying in a video posted to the ITV News website.

A spokeswoman at his office chuckled about Wednesday’s mishap and said Johnson was doing fine.

“Fortunately, the mayor survived his first zip wire experience,” a statement from his office said. “Clearly the judges are likely to mark him down for artistic interpretation.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
