New Hampshire: How do you become part of human wall behind candidate?

One of the things you have to do every time you have a candidate appearance is to have a human wall behind you. You may wonder how it is you get picked for the human wall.
We talked to John who outside of a Romney event at the Opera House, in Rochester, N.H event was just as excited as could be because he had been picked to be part of the human wall and for the last 24 hours, his smiling face has been all over CSPAN looking over Mitt Romney’s shoulder.

John said he didn’t have any secret to getting up there.
“We were just walking by and he just grabbed us and asked us if we wanted to go up there,” said John. “I guess right place at the right time.”
“To get into the human wall, all you have to do is be in the right place at the right time,” said 97.3 KIRO FM host Dave Ross.
“I would think there would be a more stringent background check, because what if you’re a nut case?” said co-host Luke Burbank. “What if you’re going to run out on stage and glitter bomb Romney?”
