In regards to Russia, I have to say that I don’t like people like Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort.

I don’t like American political operatives working in other countries, particularly countries like Ukraine when you’re working for someone like Putin. It’s dishonest and, to me, it walks the line of treason.

But I feel like the media has placed me in a box with Russia. All of the sudden, the media is concerned with political operatives having ties to Russia. But they didn’t have the same concern when John Podesta was in the Obama White House. Podesta was in business with Putin! Podesta and his brother banked millions of dollars. Podesta is not a business genius; he was being used for his direct access to people like the Clintons.

The media needs to decide whether foreign entities operating in our elections either matters or it doesn’t; not just when they don’t like the results of an election.

When you walk around Washington D.C. you see all kinds of lobbyists who are working for our political foes. It’s part and parcel of the town of D.C. But it makes you wonder, if it’s so prevalent in D.C., why was Manafort singled out by the Obama administration?

Everyone already knew that Donald Trump was going to run and that Manafort was tied to Trump as well as Russia. You could put 200 different versions of a “Paul Manafort” on trial.

I don’t like people, like Paul Manafort, working for geopolitical foes. But what was special about Manafort?

What happened next is scary. If he was unmasked by the Obama administration because he was going to run Donald Trump’s campaign, we have a real problem.

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.
