Walk Score, based near University Village, wants all real estate listings to contain a component for “walkability” along with bedrooms, bathrooms and detached garages.
Apparently, the concept is catching on.
The company, founded in 2007, recently raised $2 million from a group of investors.
Walk Score provides an automated walkability rating for any address in the U.S., Canada and New Zealand by analyzing its proximity to restaurants, cafes, parks, libraries and other amenities.
The company rated Seattle as the No. 6 “Most Walkable” city in the U.S. for 2011.
