A crash blocking the left shoulder and HOV lane on southbound SR 167 in Auburn backed up traffic for miles in the opposite direction.
Incident on SR 516 is ‘such a Seattle-area story’
The Thursday morning crash at South 346th Street didn’t physically impact the northbound lanes of 167. What did slow down traffic was morning commuters looking at the crash.
So called lookie-loos caused an approximate eight-mile backup in the northbound lanes as crews worked to clear the crash. This short video clip shows the slow down.
