Eastbound I-90 reopens after mudslide forces hours-long closure

Eastbound I-90 is back open after a mudslide forced a closure for around 24 hours, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported Thursday afternoon.
“All eastbound lanes of I-90 have reopened at Winery Road (milepost 27) after an earlier slide,” WSDOT stated on X.
Eastbound I-90 is back open between Snoqualmie and North Bend after a slide Wednesday afternoon. Our crews worked hard to clear the cars, slippery mud and debris from I-90. And there’s more work to do.

The Washington State Patrol first reported the closure Wednesday afternoon, stating three vehicles were caught in the slide. No injuries were reported.
