All southbound I-5 lanes have reopened in Everett after fatal crash

All lanes of southbound I-5 have reopened in Everett Wednesday morning after a fatal crash occurred between a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The crash happened near State Route 526 and the Everett Mall exit just before 4 a.m. All five lanes of southbound I-5 were blocked, but have since reopened, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
“This is an extended closure while troopers on scene investigate this tragic collision,” Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Kelsey Harding wrote on X.

Traffic delays are expected for early commuters on Wednesday morning.
