Fatal three-car crash shuts down SR 28 in Grant County

SR 28 is blocked in Grant County due to a fatal three-car crash early Thursday morning.
The crash happened near milepost 23 in the Trinidad Hill area, forcing all lanes of SR 28 in both directions to close. According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), at least one person was killed in the serious-injury collision.

“Please avoid the area while troopers investigate,” WSP reported.
SR 28 is expected to be closed for several hours Thursday. WSP is recommending drivers stuck in the area to turn around.
