According to witnesses at the scene, the driver said she was following her GPS, which led her to drive onto the tracks. The driver even drove a “significant distance” on the tracks before getting stuck.

No injuries were reported from the incident. The driver, a 70-year-old woman, exited the car after receiving assistance from Seattle Fire and was taken to the hospital. The car was stuck on the northbound tracks.

The power to the tracks was shut off so emergency crews could remove the car, according to Sound Transit. SODO to Federal Way, Beacon Hill to Lynnwood and Federal Way, Mount Baker to Lynnwood and Federal Way, Columbia City to Lynnwood and Federal Way, and Othello to Lynnwood were all affected by this incident. Service resumed at approximately 9 p.m.
