A section of I-90 is expected to be shut down for eight hours Friday night, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
The closure starts just east of Rainier Avenue, at milepost 3, to Island Crest Way, milepost 7. The shutdown, which is just for routine maintenance, means all westbound lanes will be closed.
The westbound I-90 ramps will also be closed at 76th Avenue S.E./N. Mercer Way, Island Crest Way, and W. Mercer Way.
The closure is expected to last from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
