All lanes have reopened along southbound I-405 in Kirkland after a multi-car collision blocked multiple lanes at N.E. 85th Street and caused a three-mile backup.

Previously, in an update from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the right lane of southbound I-405 is currently blocked, and the on-ramp from N.E. 85th Street is partially blocked due to a multi-car collision.

At approximately 11:05 a.m., WSDOT initially reported the crash was blocking two HOV lanes and two left general purpose lanes, WSDOT announced.

Roughly 10 minutes later, one lane was reopened.

Incident Response, Washington State Patrol, and fire crews all responded to the scene for assistance.

WSDOT noted there is a more than two-mile backup as a result of the collision.

Delays are expected throughout the area, and travelers are advised to seek alternate routes.
