Sound Transit is warning riders about substantial disruptions to 1 Line service in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel from April 14 to April 23.

A cracked rail will be replaced on the southbound track between Westlake and Stadium stations. During repairs, trains will share the northbound track and use northbound platforms. Officials are warning that loud construction equipment may be heard in the tunnels.

Upcoming disruptions to light rail service downtown

Trains will operate every 12 minutes between Westlake and Lynnwood, as well as between the Angle Lake and Stadium stations. Shuttle trains will run every 25-30 minutes between the Westlake and Stadium stations. Passengers traveling through downtown Seattle will need to transfer twice.

Staff ambassadors will be stationed at platforms to offer directions, and translation services are available at 800-823-9230 for non-English speakers.

Riders can sign up for automatic service alerts on the Sound Transit website for constant updates.
