Both directions of SR 104 near Southpoint Road are blocked Thursday due to a brush fire that has spread to telephone wires.
The closure began at 1:07 p.m. and will remain in effect until further notice, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced.
Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Katherine Weatherwax confirmed that the fire started from the branches and spread upward toward the wires.
Weatherwax advised travelers to use Center Road or Southpoint Road to avoid the closure.
