Driver injured after drifting into attenuator truck on SR 99 in Tukwila

One driver is injured after drifting onto the shoulder of State Route 99 (SR 99) in Tukwila and hitting an attenuator truck.
The collision occurred at approximately 2 p.m. near Des Moines Memorial Drive, according to KIRO 7.

After the crash, all lanes on one side of SR 99 were blocked, and the backups stretched more than a mile long at one point.
Washington State Patrol troopers noted that the attenuator truck was protecting workers in the area at the time of the collision.
The driver responsible for the crash was the only person injured, reporting head and leg pain.
There is currently no information on when the lanes will be fully reopened.
