State Route 302 could be closed for up to 10 hours on Tuesday after a car hit a power pole at Wright Bliss Road.

The driver hit a power pole at approximately 5:15 a.m., according to the Washington State Department of Transportation, causing it to fall across the highway.

Detours were set up in both directions on State Route 302 to get around the obstruction.

“We’re hearing it will take a while to clear,” WSDOT stated. “Take alternate routes until further notice.”

Washington State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts provided an update on the closure of State Route 302, stating it is expected to remain closed for the next six to eight hours.

This is a developing story, check back for updates
