Three semi-trucks crash on I-5 near US 101; two northbound lanes remain closed

Two northbound lanes of I-5 near US 101 and Deschutes Parkway S.W. were closed after three semi-trucks were involved in a crash early Monday morning.
The crash happened at 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), forcing all the northbound lanes to shut down at one point. In total, three semi-trucks and a car were involved in a crash against a highway barrier. The ETA for clearing the collision has yet to be determined, as of this reporting.
“The left lane of the southbound side is blocked due to a displaced barrier,” WSP Trooper Kameron Watts stated.

Traffic is being diverted to Deschutes Parkway. Injuries from the crash are currently unknown.
WSP, WSDOT Tacoma, IRT, CVD units, and fire crews have all responded to the scene.
