US 101 reopens after large tree blocked highway

US 101 in Clallam County has reopened after a large tree blocked both directions of the highway.

The Washington State Department of Transportation first reported the tree around 11 a.m. Friday. It fell at milepost 224 near the La Poel Picnic Grounds in the Lake Crescent area.

There was a detour in place through SR 112 and SR 113.

WSDOT reported that the road opened around 6 p.m.
