US 2 fully blocked after 3-car crash kills 2

US 2 is fully blocked between Index and Gold Bar, at milepost 33, due to a deadly crash.
Three cars crashed, killing two people, Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding reported via X.
#Update Sadly, this collision now involves two fatalities. This will be an extended closure with no ETA for the roadway to reopen.

“The detour at the east end of the closure is at Index Galena Road, and the detour at the west end of the closure is at Reiter Road,” Harding stated.
She noted the closure will be extended, with no estimated time for reopening.
The Washington State Department of Transportation stated on X to expect delays.
UPDATE 2: US 2 remains fully blocked at mp 33 between Index and Gold Bar due to a collision.
Crews are working to establish a local detour using Reiter Road and Index-Galena Road.
