Five Bigfoot Java coffee stands in King and Pierce counties were robbed overnight Thursday into Friday morning, and investigators are trying to determine if the incidents are connected.

The first of these thefts happened in Tacoma at a coffee stand at East 72nd Street when police were called to an armed robbery. The suspects fled in their car, and Tacoma police have not provided descriptions of the suspects or their vehicles.

Two more robberies were attempted in Puyallup between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. at two separate Big Foot Java stands.

The suspects — a man and a woman — were driving a dark-colored, four-door sedan, according to Puyallup police.

The victims described the female suspect as Hispanic, in her mid-20s to early 30s, about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with long black hair and a slight build. She was wearing dark clothes and a mask. The man was only described as being Asian or Hispanic.

During one of the robberies, the man remained in the driver’s seat of the car while the woman walked up to the coffee stand, demanded cash, and implied that she had a gun, police say.

In both cases, the victims refused to turn over any cash, and the suspects fled empty-handed.

Another robbery happened early Friday morning in Sumner when police were called to a stand at 136th Avenue.

In that case, the suspects were two women and a man. One of the suspects implied they had a weapon, according to Sumner Police.

Another robbery happened around 12:50 a.m. in SeaTac at a Big Foot Java stand on Military Road S near 206th Street.

King County Sheriff’s Office deputies said a vehicle with three people inside pulled up to the stand’s window, implied they had a gun and demanded money.

They took cash and then drove away before deputies arrived.

No descriptions of the suspects or vehicles in that robbery were released. No injuries have been reported from these incidents.

Three injured in Seattle Arco gas station shooting

A shooting outside an Arco Gas station in Seattle’s Licton Springs neighborhood early Friday left three people injured.

Just after 1 a.m., Seattle police officers were called to reports of a shooting at the Arco at 10504 Aurora Avenue N.

Police arrived to find three victims in various locations outside the store.

Based on evidence at the scene and information from witnesses, the gunshots were fired from a white SUV, according to Seattle police.

Officers gave the victims medical aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived.

Medics took the victims — a 23-year-old man, a 24-year-old man, and a 43-year-old woman — to Harborview Medical Center with varying injuries.

Detectives from the SPD Gun Violence Reduction Unit are continuing to investigate.

Man shot, killed outside apartment in Kent

Kent Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex Thursday evening.

According to the Kent Police Department, officers were called to the complex in the 23200 block of 61st Avenue S just after 6:30 p.m. A 911 caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing a person lying in the parking lot.

When officers arrived, they found a man with life-threatening injuries and quickly started first aid, but the 26-year-old Kent man was pronounced dead at the scene after Puget Sound Fire and Medics arrived.

Olympia Police warn of car thefts, prowlers, vandalisms

Olympia Police are warning residents about an uptick in vehicle prowlers and vandalisms, with 20 reported incidents this week.

Thirteen of these included shattered windows, where thieves stole four laptops, purses and wallets, bags and backpacks, tools, and personal documents.

Police advise people to hide valuables from view, saying that cars with visible valuable property are more likely to be broken into.

At one hotel, five cars were targeted, as well as locations outside gyms, churches, parks, and hiking trailheads, which police say is because suspects know victims will be away for a while.

If you see suspicious activity around cars, report the incident to the police.
