ICE Seattle nabs Mexican national ID’d as drug trafficker out of Bellingham

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Seattle said agents nabbed a Mexican national previously convicted and arrested in Whatcom County for drug trafficking.
Victor Ambrocio Alcala-Arellanes, 36, was arrested by ICE Seattle in Bellingham. They say he’ll remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.
According to a report, Alcala-Arellanes was arrested on March 20, 2024, by several local and federal agencies following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking. During the arrests, law enforcement said Alcala-Arellanes and four others were found with 3.24 pounds of suspected powdered fentanyl, a sawed-off shotgun, small plastic bags, a scale with residue, and over $6000 in cash.
At the time, Alcala-Arellanes was arrested and booked on drug possession with intent to deliver (fentanyl).
