Two children found dead after fire guts Lacey mobile home

A tragic fire early this morning took the lives of two children in Lacey. Authorities confirmed the victims were a 10-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy.
A 44-year-old woman was treated for injuries and taken to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition, according to KIRO 7.
Firefighters were sent to the mobile home fire in the 3900 block of 21st Avenue Southeast in Lacey early Tuesday.

The blaze was extinguished by around 4:30 a.m., according to KING 5. Officials have not released the identity of the person who died in the fire.
A neighbor told KING 5 that a family was living in the home. The flames caused intermittent power outages in the area, with sparks visible from a metal fence due to a downed power line.
“Our hearts go out to their family and friends as they deal with this unimaginable loss,” City of Lacey stated in a press release.
Lacey police are currently investigating the incident.
