Police chase through Lakewood ends with motorcyclist killed, passenger injured

A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger was injured after a police chase ended in Lakewood Tuesday, KOMO News reported, citing law enforcement.
King County deputies were chasing a motorcyclist when he crashed at the intersection of South Tacoma Way and 100th Street Southwest.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. Meanwhile, his female passenger was critically injured and taken to the hospital.
According to KIRO 7, he crashed into the “Welcome to Lakewood” sign.
Deadly police chase starts in Burien, ends in Lakewood
The chase started when Burien deputies tried to perform a traffic stop on a domestic violence suspect who allegedly made threats with a gun and was believed to be riding a stolen motorcycle, according to KOMO News.
South Tacoma Way is closed between 96th Street Southwest and 100th Street Southwest as authorities investigate.
