A convicted Level-III sex offender is on the loose in King County after he allegedly cut off and disabled his ankle monitor.
According to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound, Eli Volcy, 23, cut off his ankle monitor on Oct. 25 near the Burien Transit Center. Crime Stoppers said getting Volcy back into custody is a top priority.
“You have to consider that this guy is going to be dangerous because he’s been given a break,” Jim Fuda, the executive director of Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound, told KIRO Newsradio. “He’s out on an ankle monitor, cuts it off, then disappears.”
Volcy is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs approximately 128 pounds. He has tattoos of a rose, a tombstone, an angel, and three doves on his right arm. He also has an ear piercing in his left ear.
“He’s obviously a predator, and he needs to be taken into custody because he’s a danger to any female who is out and about,” Fuda said.
Police believe he may have fled to the Wenatchee area. Law enforcement in that area has been notified.
If you have information that can help locate him, you’re asked to call Crimestoppers of Puget Sound at (800) 222-TIPS or leave an anonymous tip via the P3 Tips App or at crimestoppers.com. Tips leading to an arrest and subsequent charges may be eligible for up to $1,000 in rewards.
