A police pursuit of a car with stolen license plates netted three arrests on Sept. 23, with one suspect being located on the roof of an unoccupied home by a drone in Lynnwood.
The suspects attempted to flee from Lynnwood police, traveling southbound on I-5 before exiting at N. 145th Street and heading south on Aurora Ave.
Lynnwood Police Department (LPD) Deputy Wallin deployed stop sticks, successfully deflating two of the car’s tires, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) announced.
The full video of the pursuit and drone search can be found here.

Shortly after, the car collided with a barrier at the end of a dead-end road, and the three suspects attempted to flee the scene on foot.
One suspect was detained near the car. The female driver ran towards the Haller Lake area, where she was eventually located and detained.
A K9 unit was deployed to locate the third male suspect. Wallin and K9 Greg led the search through several residential yards.
The search led to a specific property, where a drone team arrived to take over operations.
The suspect was spotted by the drone, hiding on the roof of an unoccupied residence. The final suspect put his hands in the air while on the roof and surrendered to LPD before being taken into custody.
“This is just one example of how our drone operators are a critical tool to assist with locating a suspect hiding from law enforcement,” SCSO stated. “Great work and coordination by everyone involved in this incident!”
The driver was booked for attempting to elude and possession of a stolen car.
One of the male passengers was booked for taking a motor car without permission and obstruction.
No information was provided on the potential charges of the suspect, who was detained near the stolen car.
