Felon arrested for shooting pellet gun into Seattle apartment building

A 47-year-old man was arrested after allegedly firing a pellet gun at an apartment building and injuring an occupant on Thursday morning.
At approximately 12:40 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2100 block of 3rd Avenue, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) reported.

Officers locate victim, damaged window
At the scene, officers located a 44-year-old man who was shot in the thigh, and found damage to the front window of the apartment building.
The victim identified the suspect to officers as the suspect was getting back into his vehicle. Officers removed the suspect from his car, and he was detained for questioning.
Officers later recovered the large, realistic-looking gun from the suspect.
SPD arrested and booked the suspect, a convicted felon, into the King County Jail for assault, reckless endangerment, property damage, and aiming/discharging a firearm.
Detectives in the police department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit have been assigned to the case.
