A 37-year-old man died Sunday after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds in Pierce County.
At approximately 4:19 a.m., Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies found the victim near the 12200 block of Canyon Road E., PCSO announced.
Medical aid was administered, but despite life-saving efforts, the man died at the scene.
The victim’s family told KIRO 7 that the “world lost an amazing father, who didn’t deserve this.”
“This was a working man who worked hard. And who was a single father who was trying to do the best for his kids,” his mother, Kyro Grooms, told KIRO 7. “He was the protector of all of my children. To all of my daughters. And now, they no longer have their protector.”
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call the PCSO non-emergency hotline at (253) 287-4455.
