After the Seahawks’ NFC Championship victory, an “over-excited,” intoxicated fan was arrested after reportedly walking on the field with a beverage in hand and making physical contact with a coach.
On Jan. 25, a man in his 40s disobeyed the Lumen Field rules and climbed down onto the field and walked across the grass while carrying a suspected alcoholic beverage, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) reported.

Even though trespassing onto the field is strictly off-limits, the fan strolled out toward the field as it was filled with celebrating Seahawks players, coaches, and staff.
Allied Security guards escorted the man off the field to SPD officers, who placed him in handcuffs for trespassing and allegedly making physical contact with a coach.
The man “showed all the typical signs of being intoxicated,” which included slurred speech and alcohol on his breath, the SPD report stated.
SPD investigated the incident and later released the suspect. SPD detectives referred criminal charges to the Seattle City Attorney’s Office.
The intoxicated fan was trespassed and banned from Lumen Field.
“Undeterred by this drunken foul play, the Seahawks are on their way to Super Bowl LX to face off against the Patriots. Go Hawks!” SPD stated.
