A 32-year-old knife-wielding man was arrested after an attempted burglary in the Little Saigon neighborhood on Tuesday.

At approximately 3:35 p.m., Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers responded to reports of a burglary in the 300 block of 10th Avenue, SPD announced.

As officers arrived, they located a 37-year-old victim who was not injured. SPD believes the suspect brandished a knife and threatened the victim after he prowled her car, which was parked in a locked parking lot.

The victim was “terrified and feared for her life,” according to the SPD report.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and was reportedly heading eastbound on S. Jackson Street.

Analysts with SPD’s Real Time Crime Center reviewed community space cameras and found the suspect near 10th Avenue and S. Jackson Street. The information was then relayed to responding officers.

SPD located the suspect near the location and arrested him. A knife was seized as evidence.

Officers ultimately booked the suspect into the King County Jail for first-degree burglary.
