13-time convicted felon pulls gun on QFC security guard in South Seattle

A 54-year-old, 13-time convicted felon possessing various narcotics was arrested for pulling a gun on a South Seattle security guard Sunday, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) announced.
At approximately 7:20 a.m., SPD officers responded to a man reportedly brandishing a handgun at an armed QFC security guard in the 2700 block of Rainier Ave. S.

The security guard was accused of taking a photograph of the suspect while on duty. The guard told SPD that he was reading on his phone.
An argument began between the suspect and the security guard, leading to a weapon being drawn by the suspect.
SPD noted the security guard remained calm and did not draw his weapon.
Soon after, the suspect left but was found in a nearby fast-food parking lot. The suspect was arrested without incident.
SPD served a warrant on the suspect’s vehicle and seized: 6.8 grams of cocaine, 0.7 grams of fentanyl, 2.6 grams of methamphetamine, 0.3 grams of heroin, a handgun, ammunition, a digital scale, and packaging materials.
The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for felony harassment, unlawful possession of a firearm, and narcotics violations.
SPD mentioned the suspect is a 13-time convicted felon on active supervision by the Department of Corrections. The suspect is also prohibited from carrying firearms.
Detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit have been assigned to the case.
