Man believed to be involved in Aurora shooting crashes car outside Harborview

A 32-year-old man believed to be involved in a shooting earlier in the day crashed his car outside Harborview Medical Center on Monday.
Around 1 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 12500 block of Aurora Avenue North by Jack in the Box, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).
Those involved in the shooting had left the area before police arrived, as officers found blood on the ground but no victims.
Police found multiple shell casings, processed the scene, and collected evidence during their investigation.

Man crashes car outside Seattle hospital
Shortly after, SPD was informed of a car crash at the emergency room ramp outside Harborview Medical Center.
Police found the driver on the ground outside his car in serious condition with a gunshot wound in his leg.
Medical staff brought out a gurney and took the man into the hospital for treatment.
Officers seized a gun holster from the man and a handgun from his car. His car was then towed to the vehicle processing room, as it had bullet damage to the passenger side.
SPD believes the man is related to the shooting on Aurora.
The circumstances that led up to the shooting are being investigated. Anyone with information is asked to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000. SPD noted that anonymous tips are accepted.
