The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is currently investigating a shooting and armed robbery on Aurora.
One person was injured by gunfire in the 8700 block of Aurora Avenue North at the John Fox Place Apartments, according to SPD.
When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest
Neighbors, like Nina Ross, heard the gunshots.
“I heard two loud bangs, and I thought a scream, but it didn’t all click until I came to take the dog outside, and I saw all the police in the lobby and on my floor and down here,” Ross told KIRO Newsradio. “And I said, ‘Oh god, that’s what it was.’ I saw them walk the guy out right now in handcuffs.”
The man was transported to Harborview, where he is undergoing surgery. Authorities said he is expected to survive.
