Deputies are investigating a fatal shooting at a Skyway apartment complex overnight, the King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

When deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene of the shooting — the Creston Point Apartments in Skyway — they confirmed one person died at the scene, while another suffered minor injuries. The shooting happened at approximately 12 a.m. Wednesday.

“I can confirm one person is dead. There was another person with minor injuries. Our deputies and detectives are working hard to process everything and figure out what happened,” said King County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Brandyn Hull.

There is no ongoing danger to the public, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives remain at the scene to process the evidence and investigate what led to the shooting.

“This has been turned over to our Major Crimes Unit, and they will investigate it and put the pieces together. So, at this point, it’s a very active investigation, ” Hull said.

Anyone with information about this shooting or anyone who may have captured video of the shooting is asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office or 911.
