Snohomish man in custody for allegedly dropping toddler from balcony

A man was taken into custody after he allegedly dropped a toddler from a balcony on purpose in Snohomish, the Snohomish Police Department reported Thursday via Facebook.
Snohomish officers responded to the 500 block of Pearl Street after a witness reported the man appeared to intentionally drop the child from a second-story balcony.
Law enforcement arrived at the scene to investigate. The child was transported to the hospital but appeared to have avoided any serious injuries.
The 38-year-old man accused of dropping the child was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for assault and reckless endangerment.
The toddler is now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
