SPD looking for man suspected of sexually assaulting child

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is looking for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a child earlier this month.
Police responded to a burglary in the Maple Leaf neighborhood around 5 a.m. on Sept. 13.
Investigators learned the burglary suspect sexually assaulted a child in the home after breaking in.
Officers tried to find the suspect in the area but couldn’t locate him.
Police described the suspect as a white man between 20 and 50 years old, around 200 pounds, with thinning short brown hair, and a round face with some stubble on his chin. He was wearing a black hoodie and dark-colored pants.
The case was assigned to SPD’s sexual assault and child abuse unit and is an active investigation. The FBI assisted with the initial investigation.
