16-year-old Sultan robbery suspect arrested after police chase across Snohomish County

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Sunday night after allegedly robbing a Sultan gas station and leading law enforcement on a lengthy police pursuit.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a robbery at Mann Station in Sultan and established probable cause for second-degree robbery, the Sultan Police Department reported.

Monroe Police later located the suspect on Highway 2 and pursued the vehicle south on SR 522. Officers successfully deployed a StarChase device — a GPS tracking system — on the suspect’s vehicle.
Sno911 dispatchers relayed real-time updates on the suspect’s location as deputies coordinated efforts.
A south county deputy later found the suspect’s vehicle on I-405 south and pursued it for a short time while also coordinating intervention options. The deputy eventually terminated the pursuit and deferred to the StarChase tracking.
The suspect drove into a Woodinville neighborhood and stopped. Sultan law enforcement made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
The 16-year-old suspect was ultimately booked into the Denney Youth Center.
