A series of suspicious fires is under investigation in the Tracyton area, Kitsap County authorities said Friday.

Kitsap County sheriff’s detectives are investigating a dozen fires that have occurred in brush and wooded areas since May 25. One fire near Alexis Drive Northeast and McWilliams Road in unincorporated Bremerton caused minor damage to a wooden bridge near a county retention pond, according to a post on the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Investigators believe some of the fires may have been deliberately set near Tracyton Elementary School, a post office and a Boy Scout hall in the 5100 block of Bunker Street Northwest.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest. Tipsters can remain anonymous by submitting information through the P3 Tips app or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS.
