13-year-old arrested after pointing stolen gun at driver in Bremerton

A 13-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday evening for allegedly pointing a stolen gun at a driver in unincorporated Bremerton.
Deputies responded to a 911 call near W. Loxie Eagans Boulevard and S. National Avenue at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) announced.
A 31-year-old man told deputies that after he passed two teenage boys walking in the middle of the road, one of them pulled a gun and pointed it at his vehicle. No shots were fired.
A KCSO sergeant found two boys matching the suspects’ descriptions. While the sergeant searched one of the boys, the other took off, ditching a handgun as he ran.

A short time later, the sergeant found the boy hiding under a truck. The gun was not loaded and had been reported stolen, authorities said.
“The 13-year-old suspect was booked into the Kitsap County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of Second-Degree Assault, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer, and Possession of Cannabis,” according to a post on the KCSO Facebook page.
