A 32-year-old man was arrested last Friday in Capitol Hill for allegedly dealing drugs. The Seattle Police Department (SPD) reported, via a blotter post, that the arrest happened just after midnight, near Broadway and East Pike Street, where patrol officers were conducting surveillance.

SPD reported the suspect tried to escape when he saw a police car but was apprehended nearby. Officers recovered Xanax, methamphetamine, fentanyl, digital scales, packaging materials and $683 in cash.

Charges against the suspect include the sale and delivery of drugs, criminal impersonation, narcotics violations, criminal trespass, criminal attempt, unlawful use of weapons and arrest warrants.

Suspected drug dealer had multiple warrants

The suspect had multiple warrants for possession of a stolen vehicle, theft, escape and criminal impersonation, according to SPD.

Officers stated the suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center for medical evaluation. He was eventually booked into King County Jail after further evaluation.

According to the department, the suspect was also under the supervision of the Department of Corrections for drug violations and had a King County Superior Court order to stay out of drug areas.

Seattle police seized the narcotics, cash and equipment as evidence.

Detectives from the Narcotics Unit are handling the case.
