Rantz: What the eclipse says about the Trump administration

Want to know what today’s historic solar eclipse says about the Donald Trump administration? Absolutely nothing.

Take that in for a moment. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. We are free of over-the-top coverage for just a moment. Phew.

There’s been no media outlet tying Trump to the hours-long slowing of the American economy. There’s been no outrage over an eclipse-related tweet. Even CNN took a moment to stop ripping into the President with their outrage-of-the-day dictum to allow Bonnie Tyler to suffer through a portion of “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”

The solar eclipse is, indeed, historic, but no more historic as the fact that for just a few hours, the media hasn’t foamed at the mouth over feigned outrage over our President. That should be celebrated.
