Sounders fans converge on Boeing Field to congratulate team

Following a dramatic penalty-shootout victory over Toronto FC on Saturday to win the 2016 MLS Cup, Sounders FC returned to Seattle on Sunday afternoon.

Fans met the team at Boeing Field’s King County International Terminal to welcome the victorious Rave Green home.

“I’m here to see the Sounders,” said a fan named Connor. “They won MLS Cup and I’m gonna give my full 90 and support my boys in green through thick and thin, and we’ve done it this season so we’ve got a lot to be celebrating.”

Nelson Valdez’s children were also there both saying there were “very proud” of their dad.
