Would you drink breast milk to get to the next level in your workouts? Bodybuilders around the Seattle area have apparently been known to seek breast milk.

A new mom told KOMO a man approached her in a local grocery store, asked if she was breastfeeding her daughter, and offered to pay her for her milk. She told him no, but that there were milk banks for babies. That’s when the man revealed the milk would be for him, for his bodybuilding.

While an investigation showed it’s not a hugely popular practice in the bodybuilding community, if there were proven results, KIRO Radio’s John Curley said he would do it.

“If it works, why not try it?” Curley said.

Walking up to a lactating woman is a little intimidating, but if it was something that was readily available, Curley said he would definitely try it.

“If I could easily get it, like if I could go into a natural food store or supplement thing I would buy it.”

Curley’s been stuck at 345 pounds on his deadlifts and said if breast milk will get him to his goal of 385, he’s all in.
