Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz does his best Milton Friedman impression

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz spoke about his vision for a more civil America at the company’s annual shareholders meeting Wednesday.

But all that does is remind John Curley of Milton Friedman’s quote that “The business of business is business.”

In other words, Schultz is balancing his company’s financial direction with the impression of being socially responsible.

Is Curley off base?
