Ladies do you ever find standard pens just a little too manly? You’re in luck. There’s a new brand of pen just for women.

BIC for Her pens have a thin barrel “designed to fit a women’s hand,” BIC says. The pastel-colored pens also have a diamond engraved barrel for “an elegant and unique feminine style.”

“Finally!” is the cry from reviews of the new product on Amazon.

“Man pens have always been so tricky and hard to use, and so unsightly!” writes reviewer adarc. “Thanks to Cristal Bic for Her, I can now take my pen anywhere. No more lugging a heavy, bulky, man pen around, I’ve got Bic for Her!”

Upon discovery that the new product was not a women’s razor, but actually a new feminine writing instrument, Dave Ross made sure to tell the females around the office.

“Ursula, you’ll finally be able to write properly,” Dave tells News Anchor Ursula Reutin, who seems less than thrilled with the new product.

“Yeah, once I finally get out of the kitchen you mean?” Ursula says. “It’s like seriously, why?”

Ursula’s sentiments are mirrored by reviewers critiquing the new product online. Reviewer Breemeup echoed Ursula’s theme:

“Finally! For years I’ve had to rely on pencils, or at worst, a twig and some drops of my feminine blood to write down recipes (the only thing a lady should be writing ever).”

“Now if only my husband would teach me how to write!” wrote Amazon reviewer Avid Reader. “Finally, a step in the “write” direction, which I am told is a pun–but as neither my father nor my husband felt it necessary to teach me how to read and write, I will have to take their word for it. (I am dictating this review to my son. Thanks, Buddy!)”

While some reviewers clearly see this as “marked” progress for women, others say the new writing instruments don’t go far enough.

“Why is there no glitter?” writes TA Readsalot. “At first I was like, OOOH SHE PENS! But then I noticed they had no fluffy tops. What the hell Bic? What is a pen for her without some glitz and glamour? You’re just toying with me. EVERYONE KNOWS that to make something girly you have to add sequins. EQUALITY NOW!”

Luke Burbank did reveal one actual benefit that might come from a lady employing the new writing tool.

“If somebody had a bunch of pens on their desk and I needed to grab one to write with, I would not grab the one that was a pastel color,” he says.

The BIC for Her might be a strong deterrent against office pen theft.
