Word of a fantasy slut league at a California high school is making headlines, but Ross and Burbank host Luke Burbank says this is essentially something guys have been doing forever.
“That’s the kind of locker room speculation that’s gone on for a long time,” says Burbank. “This is the kind of thing that guys do informally in terms of rating chicks and speculating on who would sleep with whom. This just sounds like a more formalized way.”
The report from the Los Angeles Times says school officials at Piedmont High School sent a notice to parents letting them know they’d heard of a group of male students holding a fantasy draft for female members of the student body, granting one another points for sexual acts with them.
Burbank says it’s very tasteless, but something high school aged kids have always done in some form or another. And while words like “fantasy slut league” make for great headlines, he doesn’t think it’s likely the practice is wide spread.
“I bet you anything it was a couple of kids in a basement on a computer who weren’t having sex with anybody,” says Burbank.
As much as people might expect teenage boys to behave more respectfully, Luke says teenage boys will be teenage boys.
“What we keep forgetting is boys have wieners,” says Burbank. “I just think at the end of the day they are teenage boys.”
