Doing a little last minute shopping in downtown Seattle, I passed a print shop on Pine Street displaying the ultimate answer to the War on Christmas:

Generic Holiday Message

It is a declaration so boldly non-committal that I felt instantly empowered to wish myself the greeting of my choice, uninhibited by the messages imposed by others. I also created customized festive mind-graphics, full of happy children emptying their stockings on Christmas morning, and put myself so thoroughly in a holiday mood I spent in excess of $300 on last-minute gifts. -DR
