New ABBA tune; Dave’s state of the union gets a whole lot better

abbaDave’s cynicism meter has been running high after Tuesday night’s state of the union address by President Obama (decades of unfilled promises will do that to a surly veteran newsman.)

But suddenly beams of light have broken through the incessant Seattle slate grey sky, after word surfaced this morning Dave’s beloved ABBA will be releasing a new tune.The Swedish pop superstars just announced they’ll reissue the final studio album, The Visitors, in April. And it will feature a previously unreleased demo “From a Twinkling Star to a Passing Angel,” the first unheard music from the defunct pop quartet since 1994.

Suddenly, as promised by President Obama our best days are indeed ahead of us.

“He didn’t even mention it once,” says an incredulous Dave. “I mean, the Osama Bin Laden thing I get that. But…”
