After a few weeks of getting career coaching from Workplace 911‘s Bob Rosner, Ross and Burbank listener Barb says she’s confident she and Bob will find her a job before the 60-day deadline.
Rosner first appeared on The Ross and Burbank Show in early September and told Dave and Luke he would get one unemployed listener a job in under 60 days.
Barb, a 53-year-old graphic designer, was chosen from a group of Ross and Burbank listeners to receive Bob’s services in this 60-day trial.
After a few weeks of phone consults and meetings, Barb says she thinks she’s making progress.
She says Bob hasn’t really told her things she hasn’t heard before, but she’s seeing more clearly how she was standing in her own way.
“Like a lot of people I hate to ask for help. I’m there to help everybody else, that’s been my M.O. So for me to reach out, that’s been a big thing for me.”
Bob has her networking with old business associates and friends, and she’s been very pleased with the results.
“I’ve started doing it, and all of a sudden it dawned on me that ‘hey my friends are actually my friends and they want to help me,'” says Barb. “That’s been a huge boost to my confidence just knowing that people want to help me. It’s a great thing.”
From her networking, she says she’s found five solid opportunities to pursue, plus three people have said they’d be happy to offer her recommendations.
With the clock ticking down on the 60-day deadline, does Barb think she’ll make it?
“Oh heck yeah!” she tells Ross and Burbank. “I’m ready. I’m on the move.”
