Inside Olympia’s Draft Income Tax Proposal
For weeks, lawmakers have talked broadly about a possible income tax. Now, the draft language is public.
KIRO Newsradio obtained a working draft of the income tax proposal being developed in Olympia and published the full document on MyNorthwest. The proposal includes a 9.9% tax on income above $1 million, would override a voter-approved ban on income taxes, and contains several provisions that haven’t been widely discussed.
