King County's Homelessness Agency Hid Its Own CEO's Emails?

Brianne Bagby was hired as the public records officer at the King County Regional Homelessness Authority. For almost a year, she says, she wasn't allowed to see the CEO's emails. Executive staff cut her access, screened messages before she could review them, and in at least one case told her the CEO's emails had been pulled from search results. She's since quit.

This is the same agency that couldn't account for $13 million in a forensic audit and was sitting on a $45 million deficit. Charlie Harger says it's time to shut the agency down and replace it with an elected body that answers to voters, runs under strict ethics and disclosure rules, and operates on a hard sunset clock with measurable outcomes.
